Meet The Players

George Herring is an actor for RANDOM ACTS, but his improv acting career has taken him around the eastcoast . He performed for 3 years with The Shaun Cassidy Fan Club in Oswego , New York. He founded Just the Funny, and improv group based out of Miami , Florida ; he worked with them for 3 years. Once in Richmond , George produced a one man show called A Man, A Boombox , and a Blowup Doll. George also performed with PUNCH! Sketch Comedy, based in Richmond, for 2 years. George was also the Producer for The Miami Improv Festival for 5 years.




Michael Dunn is glad to be a part of Random Acts Improv Comedy. Though improv comedy is relatively new for him, he has a lot of stage experience. Mike recently played Duke Frederick in As You Like It with the Richmond Shakespeare Festival, Duncan in Leading Ladies with the Chamberlayne Actors Theater, & Odell in Sordid Lives with the Richmond Triangle Players.







Pat Raines is an actor for RANDOM ACTS, but recently ended a tour of duty as the group’s director. As asinger and actor, Pat has been very involved in theRichmond comedy scene for the past 10 years. He was featured in the productions Anything & Everything, The Matrix Redux, The Musical Matrix, and The Empire Rocks Back. He was the lead actor in Finding Leeloo. Pat has also performed with Take 5 Comedy Troupe & Animal Krackers.





JR Foster is an actor for RANDOM ACTS, and has enjoyed a prolific, diverse acting career in the 1st City of the South. A veteran of stage and screen, J.R. was a featured performer in The Crucible, Sugar, West Side Story, Beulah’s Nutcracker, Cabin Fever, A Krackers Christmas Carol, Who Love’s Ya,Cupid?, The Witching Hour, Starbubski Coffee and Rope, Leet, and Chez Geek. J.R. has also performed with Take 5 Comedy Troupe, Animal Krackers, and Math Club.



Jody Matzer is an actor for RANDOM ACTS. His high school Government teacher wrote in Jody's year book that Jody was a true “renaissance” man and never before has a statement been more true about one individual. Jody is an award-winning artist and published author and has a background that includes the theater, advertising and game shows. Jody has worked with one of Richmond's first ensemble improv troupes, The Underground Gang. In addition to his work with RANDOM ACTS as both performer and art director, Jody is currently writing and illustrating his first children's book.





James Wasilewski has been an actor with RANDOM ACTS Improv Comedy since March 2009. Since his diagnosed addiction for attention, he has performed, directed, and work-shopped with professional troupes since 1999 in Richmond, VA (Instant Theatre: Just Add Water; Take 5) and Daytona Beach/Orlando, FL (Second Base; Random Acts of Insanity; SAK Comedy Lab; briefly with the sketch troupe The Humor Mill Orlando). While James lived in Florida, he completed other improv training with nationally recognized SAK Comedy Lab in Orlando.
